Fall is a great time for a fresh start. Let’s all start out this season with good habits. As a student of dance it is helpful when you develop a passion for it. Our staff can teach and inspire you but our job is so much easier when students dance because they want to. Here are tips that will place you ahead as a student of dance and increase your love for dance: 1. Attend your classes regularly, 2. Pay attention to corrections in class, 2. Take good care of your body, 4. Discipline yourself – focus in class, don’t socialize and follow school rules, 5, Visit the theatre and view other dancers.

Alice in Wonderland – What a tea party!! The MBS staff and students made it happen. Thank you for your outstanding performance. DVDs will be available for pick-up at early registration in September.

The 2009/2010 - payment schedule is listed above. Though each payment is due during the week shown above, we allow a 2-week grace period. Payments made later than two weeks beyond the due date, will be assessed a $5 late fee. If payment is not made within 4 weeks of the due date, student will have to sit out of class. If extenuating circumstances exist, please talk to Beverly Stone. Students are entitled to two make-up classes for absences. If student misses a class, do not deduct monies from tuition payments, ask at the office to schedule a make-up class.

Fall classes begin on Tuesday, September 15^th. Classes are available for ages 3 to adult, boys and girls. Early registration will take place at MBS Training Center on Wednesday and Thursday, September 9th – 10th from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday, September 12^th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. After classes begin on Tuesday, September 15th, registration will be open during regular studio hours: M - F, 4:30 - 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. until classes are full.

Tell a friend about dance classes at MBS and earn a $25 credit. They must give your name at registration.

Pilates For Adults

Pilates is a great way to tone your body and lose inches. Come out to our drop-in classes and pay $5 per session. Drop-in classes will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

The King and I Ballroom Dance

We have a great pair of ballroom dance instructors and they are ready to put you on the road to becoming proficient in this style. Classes will begin in September; sign up at the front desk.

Looking For Teacher's Aides

We are looking for Performing Group students 13 years or older that likes working with children and have reliable transportation to work as teacher assistants. If you are interested and have been in a Performing Group for 2 or more years, call 248.968.5885 and leave the following information: name, phone#, days and time available to work. Mrs. Breedlove will return your call.

Extra Classes For Basic Students

All students may enroll in the classes listed below. If the student is in a basic or company class already, an extra fee of $40 per month is charged, if the student is not taking any other classes, the monthly fee is $48 per month. The classes available are: Hip Hop and Pre Pointe.

Specialty Companies

Each group will need a costume for the Christmas show and the June Recital ($60 each.) All groups above will be considered for competitions and outside performances. Cost of class is $40 per payment if you are enrolled in another class.

All Performing Group and Company students except MBS Primettes are required to attend our pre-session classes. Students will attend either on September 3^rd or September 4^th based on the schedule below:
